The popular survival game Rust is to appear on the PlayStation 4. But what do we know so far about the release on the upcoming last-gen console?
Rust on PS4: It’s no secret that Rust is coming to PlayStation 4. But it is still unknown when the game will be released. However, there is an update on the release date that is difficult to interpret.
Rust PS 4 release could be imminent
That’s why we need Rust on console: More and more players want to enjoy Rust. The demand for the survival game is not only increasing on the PC, but especially among console gamers. At least that is shown by the 1000% increase in searches for Rust on the consoles.
So what about the release of Rust on PS 4 and Xbox One? As it turns out, the game will be released in 2020. At least that’s the current status of the developer Facepunch. More precisely, Rust should appear in the fourth quarter (Q4 for short) of 2020. So in the period from the beginning of October to the end of December.
Therefore, the release is not fixed: Due to the outbreak of the corona virus, many productions had to take a break or were postponed. At the moment, this does not only apply to game makers, but also to television productions such as The Walking Dead.
Because developer Facepunch wants Rust to stand out from all other survival games on the consoles, there is still a lot to be done. The delay in development does not exactly contribute to the fact that the game meets the requirements of the developers at the planned start.
A 2020 release of Rust on PS 4 could therefore already have been internally canceled. So it’s hard to tell when the Rust PS 4 release will happen.
Maybe not: Lets face it, Rust could in fact not come to consoles in 2020. It’s 2020 at least and the coronavirus still has a tight grip of the world. Developer Facepunch didn’t announce anything about a postponement of the release, but it’s very likely that Rust won’t release this year.
