Frostpunk 11bit studios game

We have been mentioning the upcoming survival city builder Frostpunk for a while now. As the last few weeks some new updates as well as the price got revealed. But this time, we are able to talk about the release date included in a new trailer.

The Two Faces of Leadership

So, let’s start with the new Frostpunk trailer, which is titled “Serenity”. It starts all peacefully, showing the city that has been built to let the people survive. Till at one point a leader appears on the stage, who clearly made the right decisions as he is popular with the citizens. But then the screen changes, showing a guy that got captured and is sentenced to death. The citizens pour water over him and the scene ends with him hanging frozen in his misery. Fans are speculating that these are the endings you might encounter, depending on what kind of leader you are.

Frostpunk was officially announced to release during the first quarter of 2018. However, they pushed the title back for another month. The reason for this is to make sure the game is bug free and to give the players the best experience directly at the launch.

“We wanted to make it before end of Q1, but we ended up slightly moving the release further. The reason is simple – we needed this time for the final polishing required to deliver a game that, we believe, is the best 11 bit studios title so far. For us, production value is always the most important thing and a bug-free, carefully balanced game is crucial to offer gamers the experience we want them to have. – Grzegorz Miechowski’’

In a few weeks you will be able to prove your leadership in Frostpunk as the game will release on April 24th. The digital version will be available on the digital stores such as Steam and GOG. It’s not yet announced which sites will sell the Victorian edition, which is priced for 35 dollar and includes the hardcover art book.
