After almost a year of silence, the developers of Dying Light 2 are back on their Discord channel. They announce further updates for the coming year 2021.
That’s going on: After Techland announced the successor to the 2015 survival RPG Dying Light at E3 2018, it was rather quiet about Dying Light 2. At the beginning of 2020, the release was ultimately postponed indefinitely.
Meanwhile, the first part will continue to be kept alive with content, events, and updates even after five years. Currently, around 9,000 to 13,000 players are still playing every day (via Steamcharts).
So the developers are now back: Techland has now broken their silence on the official Discord channel and provided the fan base with new information. Or almost, because they only announce that they will publish more updates on the status of development in 2021.
Techland would like to provide their game with further content, updates, and events for years to come with Dying Light 2. Due to the postponement, it stands to reason that the developers will also announce a version for the next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. So far only a PC, PS4, and Xbox One version has been announced.
A possible release period is also still pending. It remains to be seen whether we will receive a release window in the near future. Are you looking forward to more information about Dying Light 2? Write us your opinion in the comments!
