Shortly after the release of Cyberpunk 2077, there is already a short video of a third-person mod-idea made by the community. Could it soon be possible to view your character from all angles?
Look at it another way: In Cyberpunk, it’s rarely possible to see your character “V” from all angles. Since Cyberpunk 2077 offers many possibilities to use mods creatively, it will only be a matter of time until the first third-person mod is released.
A preview of Cyberpunk 2077 third-person mod
This is what the developer says: Cineagle uploaded a YouTube video with a preview of what such a mod could look like just four days after Cyberpunk’s game release. Despite some obvious rough edges, this version already shows a good basic framework.
For example, you can see from the walking animation that CD Projekt Red did not intend for you to play in third-person perspective. V’s back appears crooked and when walking, the character doesn’t properly put one foot in front of the other. From first-person this seems right, as when we look down we can also see the feet.
In a pinned comment, Cineagle already lists ways to fix these problems:
“First way to improve her animation is to replace it by call animation from which uses another characters in game. So just replace. Anither way is realtime modifing this animation behavior. And last, most intresting, make own animation. It,s nor imposible for do it all. But who will make it. I work on Dirt 5 tool now, also i dont play in 2077 game and sames.”
