Cyberpunk removed from PlayStation Store: what now?
What we know: As the Polish studio explained, the ripcord was pulled to avoid worse things. Cyberpunk 2077 will be removed from PlayStation Store. For how long is unclear so far. What is certain is that it will return.
CD Projekt Red assures that players who have already purchased the role-playing game will continue to receive updates. While they no longer have to worry about new negative records, they will continue to work on Cyberpunk 2077. Among other things, two massive patches are to be released by February 2021, which should raise the game to the originally planned quality.
There are refunds! It was also mentioned that players who are still disappointed will get their money back. After controversy about this a few days ago (look above), the studio set up their own refund link that works like this:
- Click on PlayStationStore/Cyberpunk-2077/Refund
- Register there
- Provide a reason why you want to return to Cyberpunk 2077
- Wait for your confirmation & refund
How long it then takes before you receive a full refund of your purchase price varies, however. But it shouldn’t take longer than a few days.
