CD Projekt Red confirms on the official website that it plans to release free DLCs for Cyberpunk 2077 in early 2021. The first information should follow soon.
That’s going on: A DLC message to all players recently appeared on the official website for the FPS-RPG Cyberpunk 2077. Free DLCs are expected to arrive in Night City as early as the beginning of 2021.
CD Projekt Red had already spoken of starting with the free download content as soon as possible after the release:
“Just like with The Witcher 3, you can expect a selection of free DLC packs that will hit Night City and contain loads of cool content that will make the dark future world even more alive. We hope you look forward to it.”
When will the Cyberpunk 2077 DLCs really come?
After a few problems with the release and the digital PlayStation 4 version was taken from the store by Sony, the DLC-topic moved into the background. In the last statement from CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kiciński, it was first stated that the situation of the planned DLCs had to be reassessed due to the problems:
“First and foremost, we have not yet confirmed any dates and, as already mentioned, this is extremely difficult in advance. We are in an unexpected situation and have to reassess it. This is planned for January.”
The status update on the website may have been planned well in advance and the current DLC plans could be moving further back.

It is not yet known what the DLCs will bring to Night City if they should actually come. It shouldn’t be big new content yet, we suspect rather small content bites like other vehicles, weapons, small side missions, or skins.
