The studio consists of twelve former Irrational Games employees and could be regarded as a spiritual successor to Irrational. Their goal is to create high-quality games of interest to more than just Bioshock fans. In case your are wondering they’ve chosen the name Ghost Story because: “Ghost stories are immersive, exciting and steeped in community. The name reminds us of our mission.”
“Our mission is simple: to create immersive, story-driven games for people who love games that ask something of them. While we believe our new games will have strong appeal to fans of BioShock, our new focus allows us to craft experiences where the gameplay is as challenging as the stories.”
Fans can therefore expect titles that are as high-quality in story and gameplay as the previous Bioshock and System Shock games. Ghost Story does not want to say anything about a new title at the moment – but they almost certainly have one in development. We are looking forward to what they come up with and will keep you up to date as more news unfolds.
