The controversial horror game Agony receives a new announcement trailer and with it a release date. In addition, the developers have announced in their dev blog that the console version must be censored to avoid receiving an Adult Only (AO) rating.
Agony will hit you in May
The latest news from Agony developers is that the game will be available to play on May 29th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. However, console versions of the game will be censored to avoid receiving an Adult Only (AO) rating. Developers hope to alter very little so that scenes will be as close to the originals as possible.
Luckily, PC players will have the option to download a patch that will allow them to play an uncensored version of the game. This option will not be available for console players due to technical and legal issues. Instead, those who have purchased a console version of the game will be able to convert it into a PC version. More news on this will be coming soon!

Developers reassure players that the censorship will not change the perception of the game and that we can still expect the wicked and disturbing game we have come to know. Check out the official announcement trailer for Agony below!
